A film of oil spreads across water and produces a spectrum. A thread of glass, bent around a corner, carries information across thousands of miles. One we have likely seen. The other we know is there.
I work in the space between them, drawing molten glass into lines across architectural space and setting sheets of glass closer together than a wavelength of light.
What appears empty is measurable.
What appears rigid moves.
What appears to touch remains apart.
