Considerations and Ants
Considerations and Ants explores the uneasy architecture of shelter: the distance between being held and being trapped, between protection and exposure. Ginsberg makes familiar objects behave strangely. Thousands of pulled glass strands rise from a found chair, tracing a body lifting and settling. A bed spring carries glass vessels holding the artist's bodily water weight, easing as the water evaporates. Pleated chicken wire studded with glass droplets hangs like a curtain that cannot keep weather out. A plant that both heals and poisons sits in a safety-glass cage beside a bucket of honey. Each work holds comfort and threat together.

Ginsberg found this book by Mumle Gåsegg, a pseudonym of Norwegian writer Johan Borgen, in a dollar store and translated it in full with Google Translate. Anfektelser, closer to "scruples," came out as "ants." He kept the error and retyped the entire book by hand from screenshots, mistranslations and formatting intact, into accidental poetry. The worn original sits beside the transcription, and the gallery walls were painted to match its cover.
